• Authentication Information: When you register or log in, we secure your profile using Google Firebase Authentication (which includes email addresses, display names, and profile pictures).
• App Content & Interactions: We store your personal journals, streaks, progress milestones, and WhatsApp-style chat messages securely inside Google Firestore to enable seamless cross-device synchronization.
• FCM Push Tokens: To support server-side push alerts for your custom task alarms and personalized insights, we store your Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token on our secure backend.
• Device State & Network Diagnostics: We check active network connections dynamically on your device. This is used solely to restrict features like cloud journaling and screenshot sharing during outages, ensuring offline data integrity.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect to operate, maintain, and refine the core features of MindPilot. Specifically, we use your information to:

• Deliver real-time chat synchronizations, message notifications, and streak achievements.
• Compile and trigger personalized daily AI insights based on your journaling intervals (user-configurable to every 1-3 hours).
• Schedule and loop custom task reminder alarms (e.g. continuous 5-loop alarms) locally on your device.
• Improve performance and verify security constraints, preventing unauthorized access by immediately wiping temporary sessions and requiring prompt re-authentication upon manual logouts.

3. Data Storage, Security, and Protection

The security of your personal data is our absolute priority. We adopt standard industry practices to ensure safe processing:

• Secure Server Environments: All cloud-synchronized data is stored on highly secure Firebase and Google Cloud servers protected by enterprise-grade firewalls and access controls.
• Encrypted Connections: Data transmitted between the mobile application and our databases is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption.
• Session Hardening: When you manually log out of MindPilot, our systems immediately invalidate your active authentication tokens, preventing unauthorized sessions on the next launch.

4. Third-Party Services and Analytics

MindPilot integrates with reputable third-party tools to guarantee excellent service delivery:

• Google Firebase: We utilize Firebase Authentication, Firestore Database, Cloud Functions, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to power real-time services and notifications.
• Analytics Providers: We collect aggregate, non-identifying telemetry to monitor app performance, screen loading delays, and overall stability.

These third parties are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and privacy laws and are permitted to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.

5. Your Choices, Access, and Deletion Rights

We respect your sovereignty over your own thoughts and data. You have complete control over what you share:

• Insight Frequency Control: You can completely configure or turn off AI insight intervals (ranging from 1-3 hours) straight from your App Settings panel.
• Data Portability & Account Deletion: You can request the absolute deletion of your entire cloud profile and synchronized content. Contact our support team below, and all related Firestore databases and Firebase credentials will be permanently erased.

6. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take immediate steps to remove it.
